HSD dualcore wire stripping machine

  HSD twincore cables are widely used in automotive highspeed data applications such as cameras, radar, and infotainment systems. However, due to their unique construction, stripping these cables involves several significant challenges.


  1. Complex MultiLayer Structure

  A typical HSD twincore cable includes:

  Outer jacket

  Braided shield

  Aluminum foil shield

  Inner jacket

  Twisted twin cores

  Each layer must be removed precisely, without damaging the inner structure. This makes the stripping process laborintensive and technically demanding.


  2. Highly Sensitive TwistedPair Structure

  The performance of HSD cables depends heavily on twist consistency.

  Manual stripping can easily cause:

  Loosening of the twisted pair

  Stretching or distortion of the cores

  Uneven twist pitch leading to impedance variation

  Any of these issues can degrade signal integrity.


  3. Shielding Layers Are Difficult to Strip Cleanly

  The combination of braid + aluminum foil is one of the hardest parts to process:

  The braid is difficult to cut evenly

  Aluminum foil tears easily and often leaves residue

  Excess cutting pressure can damage the insulation or the conductor

  Maintaining clean, consistent stripping is nearly impossible with manual tools.


  4. Very Strict Length Tolerances

  OEMs and Tier1 suppliers typically require stripping tolerances of ±0.2–0.5 mm.

  Manual operations often lead to:

  Inconsistent lengths

  Poor depth control

  Variation across different batches

  This directly affects termination quality.


  5. Risk of Conductor Damage and Burrs

  Even slight mistakes during stripping can cause:

  Scratched conductors

  Broken copper strands

  Abnormal contact resistance

  Crimping or soldering defects

  Highspeed data cables demand perfect conductor integrity.


  6. Difficult to Maintain Consistency in Mass Production

  Manual stripping cannot ensure:

  Uniform dimensions

  Stable blade depth

  Batchtobatch consistency

  As production volume increases, yield and reliability typically drop.
