1. Why HSD Cables Are Difficult to Strip
HSD (HighSpeed Data) cables are widely used in automotive camera systems, infotainment systems, ADAS, and highspeed data transmission. Their structure makes them significantly harder to process than standard power cables. The main difficulties include:

HSD cables typically include an outer jacket, shielding braid, foil shielding, twisted differential pairs, and fine inner conductors. Each layer requires precise cutting depth to avoid damaging the conductors.
1.2. Fine and soft inner cores
HSD inner conductors are extremely thin. If cutting depth is not accurate, the cores can be scratched or broken.
1.3. High shielding density
Braided shielding is tight and difficult to cut cleanly. Improper stripping can loosen the braid or deform the twisted pairs.

Highspeed differential signals depend on controlled impedance.
Any damage to the shield, twist pitch, or conductor will affect signal integrity.
